We love going to the park!

We love going to the park, especially the Worcester Woods Park. We have been going to this park so much because the weather is nice and dry. Another reason is that it is nearby our house. So when we think about going to the park, it will be this lovely park. Jinc calls it the 'big' park, and whenever I mentioned about going to the park, he will shout out excitedly 'big park, big park'!

Toilet seat trainer

Jinc is two and a half years old now, and not fully toilet trained yet. I taught him to use the toilet when he was about 20months old. I have got a white padded toilet seat trainer given by a friend when Jinc was only six months old. I started to let Jinc sit on the toilet seat trainer to poo when he was about eighteen months old. He was fine with it, just that he did not know when to tell me when he needed the toilet. So, I always had a routine for him to sit on the toilet seat trainer. Sometimes he would use it successfully, but sometimes not!

When he was about twenty two months old, he had already fully understand the use of toilet to do his 'big business'. At that time, he had started to talk, in single word, and he knew how to tell me when he needed the toilet. It was so natural for him to sit on the toilet bowl by using his toilet seat trainer. Big success, I would say, as I did not need to do his dirty bum any more when he had a poo. Save me all the hassle and the wet baby wipes too! Oh I am so happy! I would say, toilet seat trainer is such a great invention, it makes a mom's life so much easier, and it really helps the kid to learn to use the toilet. The very first padded toilet seat trainer that we have is a bit worn out now, and it is time for me to get him a new one.

So, Amazon is the place to shop for baby stuff, and it is not always in Mothercare that you can get the best products!Received the Cars 2 toilet seat trainer today and I did not expect it to arrive so soon!

The padding is very comfy and the size is just right on our toilet bowl. Best of all, it is full of Jinc's favourite Cars2 characters. I am so happy with this purchase, as it costs less than £10!! Jinc is happy with his new toilet seat and he had tried to use it the first hour when we received it in the post! He told me he loved the seat so much, and when I asked him, whether he loved the seat more, or he loved mummy more, he said he loved mummy more! What a cheeky boy, he is! That made my day!

Check this out, it is so worth it!

See how snug it fits on our toilet bowl!

Roberto Cavalli

Hmm, I am drooling over at Roberto Cavalli Home Collection via Amara website...I am very turn on by its animal print collection! They are beautiful, very 'me' and I think I have a problem now, that is to choose 'one' for my room!

Online shopping is so therapeutic for a stay-at-home-mom, like me!

CAT machine toys

New set of toys for my very car-obsessed two-year old! Jinc loves cars so much and this time, we are learning about what all this construction machines can do. I always believe that toys play a very important part in a child's pre-school learning stage.

I am teaching him to name every type of heavy machine and opps, it seemed that he known them all already when I could not tell between a bulldozer and an excavator, and he said, ' mummy, it is an excavator' (although he could not quite pronounce excavator precisely, he said ec-ca-hei-tor)! I am impressed! Thanks to the flashcard app on my iphone about types of cars/vehicles!

Do you know the difference between a bulldozer and an excavator? If the answer is no, I think you should google it and find out...

Too cute!

This is Jinc, watching Youtube on my Iphone!

Waldorf salad

Went to nanny's house for dinner yesterday. She made some grilled chicken, sausages, and lamb. She also made a big bowl of Waldorf salad. Yummy, my favourite crunchy salad of all time!

I lover her Waldorf salad. I was so glad that she made extra and gave me some to take home. So, I can have some Waldorf salad tomorrow for lunch, snacks and dinner!

Afternoon nap...

Took the kids to our rooms upstairs for an afternoon nap, and when the two of them had fallen asleep, I fell asleep too. Woke up about 30 minutes later, refreshed. The two babies are still fast asleep!

So, a bit of me-time...browsing the internet and replying emails. Like I could never find the time to use my notebook properly, but now I can.but, not for long!

Tooth paste art

Jinc was playing in the bathroom after his bath. I was just in the other room tidying up stuff. When I walked in to the bathroom to check him out, I saw this (pic)!
He thought it was so much fun squirting tooth paste. So, there was another round of washing his hands and cleaning the bathroom! See, I am a very busy mom!

Sunny...

So happy to see the bright sun, hey, it's summer, but we have had some rain too for the past few days...

It is so hot and we had lunch in our garden instead! Jinc loved it that we had lunch sitting outside for a change.

Oh yes, we went to a BBQ on Sunday and every one there adored my two children, I am feeling so proud as every one said I have done a great job. Jinc and Lily May enjoyed themselves playing with other children, lots of running around, chasing each other. It was so fun to see them play together! Oh, and the laughter, it just so so precious! Life is good!

A friend's studio

A good friend, Theresa, her studio is opening soon! So happy for her!

She is a photographer and she is a mom of two boys! I wonder how she did it, juggling between family and setting up her own studio? Can't wait to meet up with her and hear her story!

Check out her website, Theresa Furey Photography for fabulous photography works! We are thinking to do a family portrait by the end of this year...

Toy Water Gun

Daddy's colleague bought a toy water gun for Jinc. What a nice toy to play in the garden! Jinc loves it and he plays with it every day. The only thing is, the water runs out very quickly, and I am like filling up water for hundreds of times. I am a very busy mom, you see...

Sunday 5 August 2012

Let's relax, it's Sunday!

Took my two angels for a short walk this morning. I always thought this was quite tough. As time passes, Jinc is nearly two and a half, and he understands more. It is easier to communicate with him and teach him about things that he should not do when we are crossing the road, etc. As for Lily May, she is fifteen months old, quite an easy going stage, so I do not worry too much about her.

So, here we go, Lily May got onto the buggy, and Jinc tag along, by holding onto the side of the buggy, or holding my hands. When we were crossing the road, he walked very close to me and he knew how to behave when we were crossing the road.

We walked to Tesco for a brief shopping, then Lily May fell asleep. Jinc got a little treat for behaving well, he got a sweet. Then, we walked to the play park and had fun playing and running around. Lily May was still fast asleep so I let Jinc enjoyed as much as he wanted.

We had a lovely walk, enjoyed the fresh air, and headed home for lunch just before 12p.m.

A very sleepy Saturday

I have been feeling so sleepy since mid morning. Not sure why, looks like I have not had a proper sleep last night.

Just wish my two monsters will go to bed early...We are going to have an early night tonight, even though it is weekend!

World Breastfeeding Week

This week is World Breastfeeding Week. It is a time to celebrate breastfeeding! As a mom of two, am doing it to both of my children. When it was with Jinc, I got pregnant again when he was only about six months old, so I stopped breastfeed him.

Lily May is fifteen months old, and I am still breastfeeding her.I am so proud that I am still breastfeeding her at this stage. I love how she loves my breasts before bed, and I love it every time she tries to pull my shirt and looking for my breasts!

For all the breastfeeding mums out there, happy breastfeeding! Well done!
