Diarrhea

Jinc has diarrhea. My poor baby! Wondering whether it is the orange. He had just had half of the navel orange, which is quite big for a toddler boy!

Been getting him to the toilet three times now. It is good though as he is using the toilet seat trainer, save me cleaning his bum with all the dirty nappies. But I will expect some dirty nappies to come along soon.

Well, this is my very first time dealing with a child with diarrhea. I do not want to feel panic, it is very common in small children. I have just read some good advice on the web, one of them is to have some yogurt. So, I am giving him some yogurt, and I will stop giving him his bottle of milk for the moment.

Hope he gets well soon. I will have a very busy next-few-days, I reckon! A not-very-good ending for year 2011 huh?!

Work from home...

I am a stay-at-home mom. I have got two young children, and just because of the high childcare costs, I am left with no other choice but to take a career pause. For me, I think it is such a big change to give up my full time job and stay at home to look after my two young children.

I am looking around for some online jobs that I could do just to make myself feel like I can be a work-from-home mom! I have just enrolled myself to Amazon Associate programmes. I hope this will help to generate some 'pocket money' online through my blog. This is a trial and also a first step for me to feel 'work' other than housework!

So, if you think you kinda like browsing Amazon, or regularly make purchase through Amazon, feel free to click on the Amazon banners, or use the Amazon search engine, or to buy things by clicking through to the Amazon page.

Still feeling festive....

Christmas is over, but I am still feeling festive! Too much of Christmas puddings, perhaps?

Love festive seasons and celebrations!...and now I am so looking forward to Chinese New Year!! It is another year in a foreign country where most of the people here do not celebrate the Chinese New Year. Does not matter, as we are having our own celebrations and enjoy the differences just because we are in the United Kingdom!

Impressed with the speed of delivery through online shopping!

Big thank you to the postman too!

Jinc's first quad bike, a gift from Uncle Kim

Bits n' bobs

What a lovely ride, complete with safety gears!

Jinc's favourite uncle, Uncle Kim bought Jinc a quad bike for Christmas!

It is a red battery powered quad bike. Jinc is delighted and he just cannot wait to ride it. He did help Uncle Kim to set up the quad bike. It took them about half an hour to set it all up. Uncle Kim made sure the battery was fully charged a night before, so that Jinc could ride on it on the day that he brought the quad bike to our house.

Big thank you to Uncle Kim!

Want some Christmas pudding?

I am having this festive mood, so happy!

Sugar will have three days off for Christmas, not a lot, but we are looking forward to it.

We will be over to nanny's on Christmas day, so, lots of food, wine and presents!

Christmassy

Christmas is only a few days away...

We bought more things for Christmas, it is online Christmas shopping, hassle free! Hope all the items will arrive on the 24th!

Sugar bought a pair of Tateossian cufflink for himself. This is his second gift to himself, he bought an EA scarf from House of Fraser last week. He bought a Mango winter jacket for me, it is a blue belted coat with hood. I saw this in House of Fraser but they had nothing in my size, so he got it online for me. He also bought a Dorma duvet cover set for our bed.

As for the kids, we got Lily-May a Recaro carseat in girly pink. Lily-May has moved a size up and cannot fit in her infant car seat anymore... we bought Jinc a transporter set (toy), and it comes with eight little cars as well.

Can't wait until Christmas!!

All ready for Christmas, this year, we are going to spend our Christmas Day at nanny's, just like last year's. She is our English family, and I just can't wait to see them all.

Little friends....

It is always nice to have friends coming over for coffee and a chat. It is even nicer if they have got young children. I love to see Jinc plays with other young children and make friends.

I would think Jinc is very sociable at his age, and he can get along well with children around his age. They can play really well together although Jinc is still at the learn-to-talk stage. They tend to communicate well with each other. I wonder how, but it seemed so natural for them. It is wonderful to see him interacting with other children and have lots of fun.

Just the other day, Helen came over to our house with her two little ones, Ed and Annie. Jinc was happy to play his toys with Ed and copied funny actions that Ed did to him. He laughed so much and it was really great to see Jinc playing with his little friends!

Lily-May is still too young to play with the boys, but she did interact well with baby Annie. Smiled a lot and responded to us when we called her name.

I simply love having friends around!

Tastebuds

Will be gone in seconds!!

Lily-May has started solids for about a couple of weeks. Oh, this girl is a real foodie! She loves her food and would try every new taste that I offered to her.

She is so easy and I am happily making pureed baby food. Pic shown a bowl of pureed carrot and Lily-May loves it!

It is a new stage for Lily-May, to acquire tastes. I am, again, preparing batches of pureed food and freeze them. I love doing this... I also love seeing Lily-May clearing the plate on each meal! All the hard work of preparing baby food is well worth it!

A pink pushchair for Lily-May

Wanted to post this when we bought this buggy for Lily-May about eight months ago! I keep forgetting!

Well, it is Maclaren Techno XLR, in girly pink, how wonderful! Bought it from Mothercare and it was on sale.

This pink pushchair is specifically bought for Lily-May. I dismissed the idea of getting another pushchair for Lily-May as we have already got one and a Quinny pushchair as well. I am more than happy to let her use whatever Jinc used before. But, Sugar insisted we get a brand new one for our daughter, and this Maclaren is simply perfect, and I really like it as it comes with a foot muff, just perfect for cold weather.

Jinc's first wellies

Bought Jinc his very first pair or wellington boots. Jinc chose its design in the shoe shop, he loves Peppa pig!

I thought he would choose Bob The Builder or some Thomas and Friends, but...quite a surprise!

Not sure whether we will have snow this month, but the wellies will come in handy when we go to the park or have a walk in the woods! He can play in puddles too!

Was browsing Amazon the other day and I especially love this pair or Hunter Pink wellies! Lily-May can have one of those when she is older!

Selling our Quinny

I am sorting out some baby items, to be given away to friends, to sell or to give it to the local charity shops. It is quite sad though, as we are not having any more babies. Babies grow so fast, or rather the time passes so quickly... My two babies, are no longer newborn wiggly babies....

I would very much love to keep most of the items. Due to storage problems, and we are also planning to move, it is only wise to give those items away, to those who would use them and love them!

Of all the items, there is this Quinny travel system that I am planning to sell it. It is very expensive when we bought it in 2010 before Jinc arrived. Hardly used it when Lily-May is born as she has got her new buggy! Furthermore, Lily-May can't fit the infant car seat anymore, she has since move up to Group 1 car seat. See this link about types of child car seat, it is very informative!

Blogged about our Quinny when we bought it in January 2010.. Can't believe it, we are now selling it!

I am a member of Netmums, so it is very convenient to advertise locally on its nearly new section. I am selling it at £200, inclusive of pushchair, carrycot, Maxicosi car seat, car seat adapters, rain covers, shopping basket, Quinny storage bag and full instruction manual. It still looks brand new!

Hope someone out there will think this is a bargain and bring it home!

I feel very emotional packing and clearing away all these 'used' baby items!

Shoe-shopping!

Bought a pair of winter boots! It is the Skechers Tone Up boots! Comfy and stylish! Just perfect for my not-so-long legs!! Love the brown one, but none in my size, so I got the black one instead. Good with jeans!

Easily available online!

Steamy hot curry noodles

...just perfect for winter, Asian style!!

Pic shown a very spicy curry noodles. I made this, it is such a comfort food for winter! It is the Malaysian style curry Laksa, the dry version. I made it with beansprouts, some peas and fried tofu!

Simply yummy!

Lily-May is seven months old!

Lily-May is seven months old!
She is sitting up already!
She loves her food and willing to try new tastes!
She sleeps through the night, and she is very easy going.
She is teething at the moment, and she drools a lot, therefore she wears a bib. Sometimes she does not like her bib and she is able to take off her bib, and yes, the Velcro type. She can take those bibs off easily!

She is so chubby, so cute and when she is in my arms, I just can't stop kissing her!

Love her chunky thighs too!

Baby Owen!

A friend, Sophy has become a mom!

Went to see her and her new baby, Owen. What a beautiful baby, thick black hair and sharp pointed nose. Sophy is doing a great job in breast feeding him.

Like every new mum, Sophy is quite confused and worried about little things for her baby. This is normal and I assure her that when I was a first time mum, I was even more worried!

Anyway, it is always good to see her and I have encouraged her to call me more often if she is sometimes worry and does not know what to do! I guess all new mums just need to have moms friends to share thoughts and experiences with, and I am glad that I am able to give her advice and tell her my own experience!

Worcester Woods Country Park

It was our first time to the Worcester Woods Country Park. A friend, Helen suggested that we bring our two kids there, and she could bring her twin buggy so that Lily-May could enjoy the great outdoor in the buggy. Helen is a mom of two too, her son Edward, who is three and Annie who is ten months old enjoy going to the park!

The country park is very close to our home, less than five minutes drive. It is a very baby friendly park. Car park is free. It has a play park for younger children, and another one for older children.

Weather was lovely. We had a great time playing in the park, and had a good walk in the woods. Lily-May was fast asleep in the buggy when we were in the woods. Jinc enjoyed himself too! Later, we went to the cafe for some snacks. There is a little play area in the cafe too.

I simply love baby-friendly park.

Yummy Annabel Karmel Snacks

I loev to give Jinc a treat once in awhile, and I am very careful in selecting snacks for my toddler. I, especially love Annebel Karmel snacks.

Looking at the wide choices, Jinc's favourite is the Cheese & Onion & rice & corn snacks, and he especially loves the Mickey packaging.

If you too like Annabel Karmel like I do, I am sure you will love all her books, check them all out at Amazon:
