Imaginary....

Jinc put a bowl of play-Doh into the dish cupboard in our kitchen. He said he wanted to heat it up, just like mummy using the microwave heating up his food sometimes! Oh dear. He is copying things we adults do!

On another note, spot the formula milk that we stock up at the background. It was a price cut, from £8.99 a tin to £6.00 at Tesco, during its Baby and Toddler Event! We bought a dozen, and it is huge savings when you have two toddlers having milk twice a day!

It's raining again!

....so hey, we are staying in and watch the telly!

Lazy rainy day, got to think of fun things to do in the house with the kids...hmm?

36th birthday

Today is my 36th birthday, and because it falls on a Sunday, I feel extremely bless because the husband is not working on 'this' Sunday. He normally works on weekends. So, it is a very special birthday for me!

It is also special as we are going to nanny's house later, and she is having a mini buffet, also her kids are coming home too so we will have lots of people and lots of food, going to be a real celebration!

Yay!

A surprise!

I love surprises, especially on the eve of my birthday, and to make the surprise more pleasant, it came from my husband!

He came home from work and gave me a lovely surprise. He got me a nice birthday present! It was 50 shades trilogy in a very sweet looking paper bag, inside was a lovely pink birthday card, said 'with love for my wonderful wife on your birthday'...!


I am not sure I have the time to read all three books within days or weeks, or could be months. I have never properly read a book since I became a mother... Hope I will be able to read the whole thing by my next birthday!

Very looking forward to reading the first book. Will start doing it when the kids go to bed tonight!

Gadget for housewife!

This mini chopper is such a useful tool in my kitchen. Bought it from Argos two days ago and have been using it everyday. Saves me lots of time from chopping. It is very easy to use and easy to clean! Wonder why I did not get a chopper earlier. It makes cooking so much easier and so much fun.

We can share...

Jinc and Lily May are so 'grown up' these days, they actually share their snacks, even though I put the snack in one bowl.

Today, Jinc said he was saving all the pink Smarties for his little sister. How sweet!

More like a proper summer now...

The 2012 Olympics Opening Ceremony

So grateful that we have a TV in the house!

Was watching the Olympics Opening Ceremony from the beginning right through the end! Love all the performances, and the bit that I love most was Daniel Craig as James Bond, the 'Bond' part! Oh yes, and Mr Bean too. It was very unexpected to see Mr Bean appearing in such a formal opening ceremony... It's all British humour, I had a good laugh!

Proper summer, now...

So hot, and yes, this is a complain!

Safari Park

We went to the safari park! It was the West Midlands Safari and Leisure Park, which was about 40 minutes drive from where we live. I would say, not a very long journey. We had so much fun and totally enjoyed ourselves. I would recommend it to friends as it is really a great place for family outings. Children will definitely love it!

Jinc loved to see all the animals. It was a very good experience for him to learn about animals. He had already known a few (tiger, lion, giraffe, monkey, hippo, rhino, zebra, horse, etc), now he can identify more animals, such as camel, peacock, chimpanzee, and lots more.

The safari park was not just animals. There was a family theme park too. We did not go on any of the rides as the kids were still too young. We had a great time walking and watching the others play.

Oh yes, the tickets to the safari park can be used twice. We would probably go again before the summer ends!

Mini Chopper...

I am thinking to get myself a mini chopper. I will use it to do mince pork, to chop onions or garlic, to chop herbs, to do pesto sauce, to chop vegetables, etc. Just so many uses, and I certainly need one.

Been looking around at Amazon, and read some good reviews too. Well, I am so going to get one now!

You can get one online too, they are inexpensive and very useful in the kitchen!

I love points!

Pic shown a cute cuddly little bean puppy. It comes in a nice blue bag too. Got it by collecting points on the packaging of Andrex toilet rolls. We have been using Andrex for quite some time, and it is such a bonus to get this sort of rewards by collecting points.

I love collecting points in exchange for free promotional items. Over the years, I had participated in many loyalty point programmes and got myself items such as coffee mugs, eco bags, note pads, bowls, spoons, milk jar, and many more!

Points collecting can get quite addictive, especially there are nice little items that are not available for purchase!

A sea of toys!

So much fun...so much to explore. Play and learn. I enjoy seeing my kids playing with toys. I certainly think it is a good idea for them to learn new things in every little toy!

Bad backache...

Yes, the back ache is still here. It started on yesterday, it does get a little bit better today, but, it is still here.

It is very disturbing and it affects my daily routine very much. Annoying yes, and the worst part is I would say, the discomfort which affects my mood. I am in a 'very' bad mood! Therefore, my kids are the victims of a shouting mom at the moment!

Backache

It's coming back to haunt me.. I have had a backache when I woke up this morning. I am not sure what triggers this. I suspected it got worse when I tried to pick up Lily May who was on the floor this morning. I guess it was bad posture, or could be Lily May's weight. Could be anything, and this is killing me. I could not even bend properly now, not sure how I can get the work done in the house for the next few days....

Taking painkillers, hope that really help!

Trip Advisor

I am sure every one heard of Trip Advisor, and browse the site and read reviews when one is planning for a holiday. Or, it is quite an interesting site to browse, I love reading reviews from other travelers.

Well, this is my favourite travel site. I joined it in 2009. Besides reading reviews from other travelers I also contribute reviews. I love to see that my reviews have earned helpful votes, and I hope to be able to contribute more reviews of places I have visited.

A weekend surprise..

Nanny and grand dad dropped by to see us this afternoon. Nanny came with a bag of presents, for the little ones, and for the mummy too! What a pleasant surprise. I really love presents!

Nanny got Jinc a set of Cars 2 toy cars, a sing-a-long book for Lily May, and a few packets of dried fruits for me, who love snacking and at the meantime, trying to lose weight!

Proper drawing...

This is Jinc's very first proper drawing. He is quite proud with his drawing and he wants me to show daddy and nanny!

Jinc said,' snake, this is ssss, ssss, snakessssss'

He learned to hold a pen when he was about fifteen months old. He played and he scribbled with crayon and then I got him some felt tip pens, he was happily scribbling away. He loved to colour his own fingers. Then he experimented with drawing on his shirts. He also loved to do some 'graffiti' on our walls, and some of our furniture, eg the TV rack and the dining table. His favourite spot was the bedroom walls.

Today, at two-year-and-four-month old, he is able to sit down and hold a pen or pencil properly. He is a creative little boy, and I love to see him draw, be creative, draw anything at all, then he gets praises from mummy!

Animal biscuits

I love M&S!

I shop in M&S regularly, mainly for food and kids clothing. I love their snacks, tasty and healthy, or rather, they are healthier compared to other supermarket brands.

Recently, both Jinc and Lily May love animal biscuits from M&S. We would play 'find the animal' while snacking on this. So much fun, we eat and learn!

Love the fact that video calling is part of my life now as I get to see faces while calling abroad!

An old friend...

With Uncle Andy, and the new Cars2 cup

The husband's childhood friend came to London for some sports competition. So, he came over to stay at ours for a day. We had a lovely time, and husband was so happy to be able to spend some time with his good friend from Kuala Lumpur.

The husband took him around London for a bit of sight seeing, and the next day, we took him to China town for dim sum, then to Bicester Village for some outlet shopping. When we stopped for a break at the service during our journey back home, he bought Jinc and Cars2 themed cup. Jinc was over the moon!

Jinc was very happy to see this uncle in our house, and he could not get enough of him and kept asking for Uncle Andy when he left...

InThe Night Garden Live 2012

This year, we are going to see In The Night Garden Live again. The good news is, they have it in Birmingham, on September. So, we are going as a family of four.

We went to see it for the first time last year. It was fantastic, Jinc was so happy and he screamed when he saw Iggle Piggle! This year, we are bringing Lily May as she loves Upsy Daisy and Makka Pakka!

I just can't wait!!
