Toilet seat trainer
Jinc is two and a half years old now, and not fully toilet trained yet. I taught him to use the toilet when he was about 20months old. I have got a white padded toilet seat trainer given by a friend when Jinc was only six months old. I started to let Jinc sit on the toilet seat trainer to poo when he was about eighteen months old. He was fine with it, just that he did not know when to tell me when he needed the toilet. So, I always had a routine for him to sit on the toilet seat trainer. Sometimes he would use it successfully, but sometimes not!
When he was about twenty two months old, he had already fully understand the use of toilet to do his 'big business'. At that time, he had started to talk, in single word, and he knew how to tell me when he needed the toilet. It was so natural for him to sit on the toilet bowl by using his toilet seat trainer. Big success, I would say, as I did not need to do his dirty bum any more when he had a poo. Save me all the hassle and the wet baby wipes too! Oh I am so happy! I would say, toilet seat trainer is such a great invention, it makes a mom's life so much easier, and it really helps the kid to learn to use the toilet. The very first padded toilet seat trainer that we have is a bit worn out now, and it is time for me to get him a new one.
So, Amazon is the place to shop for baby stuff, and it is not always in Mothercare that you can get the best products!Received the Cars 2 toilet seat trainer today and I did not expect it to arrive so soon!
The padding is very comfy and the size is just right on our toilet bowl. Best of all, it is full of Jinc's favourite Cars2 characters. I am so happy with this purchase, as it costs less than £10!! Jinc is happy with his new toilet seat and he had tried to use it the first hour when we received it in the post! He told me he loved the seat so much, and when I asked him, whether he loved the seat more, or he loved mummy more, he said he loved mummy more! What a cheeky boy, he is! That made my day!

Roberto Cavalli
Hmm, I am drooling over at Roberto Cavalli Home Collection via Amara website...I am very turn on by its animal print collection! They are beautiful, very 'me' and I think I have a problem now, that is to choose 'one' for my room!

Imaginary....
Jinc put a bowl of play-Doh into the dish cupboard in our kitchen. He said he wanted to heat it up, just like mummy using the microwave heating up his food sometimes! Oh dear. He is copying things we adults do!

Gadget for housewife!
This mini chopper is such a useful tool in my kitchen. Bought it from Argos two days ago and have been using it everyday. Saves me lots of time from chopping. It is very easy to use and easy to clean! Wonder why I did not get a chopper earlier. It makes cooking so much easier and so much fun.

Mini Chopper...
I am thinking to get myself a mini chopper. I will use it to do mince pork, to chop onions or garlic, to chop herbs, to do pesto sauce, to chop vegetables, etc. Just so many uses, and I certainly need one.
Been looking around at Amazon, and read some good reviews too. Well, I am so going to get one now!
You can get one online too, they are inexpensive and very useful in the kitchen!

I love points!

Pic shown a cute cuddly little bean puppy. It comes in a nice blue bag too. Got it by collecting points on the packaging of Andrex toilet rolls. We have been using Andrex for quite some time, and it is such a bonus to get this sort of rewards by collecting points.
I love collecting points in exchange for free promotional items. Over the years, I had participated in many loyalty point programmes and got myself items such as coffee mugs, eco bags, note pads, bowls, spoons, milk jar, and many more!
Points collecting can get quite addictive, especially there are nice little items that are not available for purchase!

Animal biscuits
I love M&S!
I shop in M&S regularly, mainly for food and kids clothing. I love their snacks, tasty and healthy, or rather, they are healthier compared to other supermarket brands.
Recently, both Jinc and Lily May love animal biscuits from M&S. We would play 'find the animal' while snacking on this. So much fun, we eat and learn!

North Face
The winter sale is on, just can't resist hunting for bargains.
Sugar browsed some websites the other day and bought ourselves a North Face body warmer from their official site.
Sugar got the black one, and I chose to have the brown one. We received the parcel today. Very comfy and practical, just what we wanted. I think it looks very nice on me too! The best part is, it is 20% off the normal retail price. What a bargain!
Amazon has some really good bargain for North Face too! Check it out!

Love 'HomeSense'
Simply love HomeSense. We have a HomeSense in our town, and we love to shop there for little things to add to our home.
Been getting some good finds every time we go there. Until today, I still love the Missoni throw that we got from there in 2009.
These days, I love HomeSense Blog, it is very inspiring, it is my 'feel good' blog at the moment!

Christmassy
Christmas is only a few days away...
We bought more things for Christmas, it is online Christmas shopping, hassle free! Hope all the items will arrive on the 24th!
Sugar bought a pair of Tateossian cufflink for himself. This is his second gift to himself, he bought an EA scarf from House of Fraser last week. He bought a Mango winter jacket for me, it is a blue belted coat with hood. I saw this in House of Fraser but they had nothing in my size, so he got it online for me. He also bought a Dorma duvet cover set for our bed.

All ready for Christmas, this year, we are going to spend our Christmas Day at nanny's, just like last year's. She is our English family, and I just can't wait to see them all.

As for the kids, we got Lily-May a Recaro carseat in girly pink. Lily-May has moved a size up and cannot fit in her infant car seat anymore... we bought Jinc a transporter set (toy), and it comes with eight little cars as well.

A pink pushchair for Lily-May

Wanted to post this when we bought this buggy for Lily-May about eight months ago! I keep forgetting!
Well, it is Maclaren Techno XLR, in girly pink, how wonderful! Bought it from Mothercare and it was on sale.
This pink pushchair is specifically bought for Lily-May. I dismissed the idea of getting another pushchair for Lily-May as we have already got one and a Quinny pushchair as well. I am more than happy to let her use whatever Jinc used before. But, Sugar insisted we get a brand new one for our daughter, and this Maclaren is simply perfect, and I really like it as it comes with a foot muff, just perfect for cold weather.

Jinc's first wellies

Bought Jinc his very first pair or wellington boots. Jinc chose its design in the shoe shop, he loves Peppa pig!
I thought he would choose Bob The Builder or some Thomas and Friends, but...quite a surprise!
Not sure whether we will have snow this month, but the wellies will come in handy when we go to the park or have a walk in the woods! He can play in puddles too!
Was browsing Amazon the other day and I especially love this pair or Hunter Pink wellies! Lily-May can have one of those when she is older!

The White Company

Sugar and I decided to have an early Christmas shopping to sort out all the Christmas presents. So, we took Jinc and Lily-May to nanny's, and off we go, two adults, no babies, no buggies, and a shopping trip to Gloucester Quay.
There, in this shop called The White Company is having a SALE. Brilliant. We bagged most of our bargain from this shop, and most of things were for our two little ones.
We bought four pajamas sets for Jinc, four little dresses and two cute cardigans, and a pajamas set for Lily-May (some shown in pics). Most of Lily-May's are of merino wool. I, especially love merino wool for babies, just perfect for winter, as merino wool is excellent at regulating body temperature. It can do this because each of the very fine fibres has a microscopic layer of trapped air. This then traps body heat to keep baby warm when it is cold and cool when it is warm.
As for myself, I bought myself a pair of white jeans..white jeans from The White Company, how convincing! It is straight leg and it fits me perfectly. This is also my first pair of new jeans after I have given birth to Lily-May. It is in lovely white and I feel so elegant, and the cut fits my body shape perfectly.
We did not get any candles or bed linen this time.
The rest of the shopping, consists of more cloths (man and woman), lingerie, man's underwear, some accessories, and small little unique gifts as stocking fillers!

Pourty Potty

We just bought a blue potty for Jinc, it is called Pourty Potty.
We think it is almost time to start to potty train him, as he is twenty months old. Some said it is still too early to start potty train, well, I guess it all depends on the child. I would think Jinc might not be 100% ready, I just want him to get the idea, and having a potty will teach him the very basic idea of its uses.
Let's see how it goes, i know, this can be one of the difficult tasks for me, as I have got a 5-month old too, and we live in a house that it only has one toilet, which is on the first floor... I could foresee myself running up and down the staircase hundreds of time when Jinc starts to use the loo!!! So, for the moment, a potty will sit in one of the corner in our sitting room. hope Jinc finds it handy!
This is going to be challenging, and I hope it goes well as this is a big milestone for Jinc. He is growing up as a little young man!

Double trouble?!
We are looking to buy a double pushchair. I have been shopping around and checking out web reviews, still cannot make up our minds, because we are not really sure whether we will really use it. We have got one Quinny (three-wheeler), Jinc has his push chair, which is a hand-me-down from a friend, then Lilymay has her girly pink Maclaren Techno XLR pushchair.
We are still thinking about it. The thing is, every time we try to get Jinc to sit on his push chair, he wont like it, all he wants to do is to run about. At his age, he will only want to be in his pushchair when he is tired of walking when we go out. It is really difficult even though we have got him a baby reins.
The thing is, I really want to have a double pushchair so that I can go out on my own with two kids. At this very moment, I have never been out shopping with the two kids all on my own. I did go out, to friends' house only. As for shopping, I go shopping with only one baby (either Jinc or Lilymay deoending on baby's mood). Although Sugar is always with me and each of us is having a push chair, that is very inconvenient most time. NO hands for shopping trolley, eh?
Now, to buy or not to buy? Or can we borrow or loan one and try it out before we decide to buy one?
We are eying on the Petite Star Twin Buggy as shown below:
...and here is another option too, cute for brother & sister!!

Online shopping!
It is so easy these days. I can buy anything online, even online grocery shopping! Love the idea of online shopping, saves time and money. Online grocery shopping suits me just nice these days. Imagine if I were to bring two babies out, I wonder I would have enough hands for the trolley!
I will do lots of online grocery shopping when winter is here. The delivery man of my grocery to my doorstep is always friendly and helpful. I bet he loves his job too! I use Tesco a lot. Will try Asda some other time, and I think Asda is relatively cheaper. I am so used to Tesco, and I love it as it is so easy. It saves my items in favourite for my next shopping, so I do not need to search for those regular items again, saves me lots of time searching and browsing and putting things into my basket! How clever!

A New Car
We bought a new car. It is more like a family car as we are a family of four now. It is a Mazda 6 Estate. It is voted the best family car 2010. It suits us ideally at this moment. It has a very spacious car boot which is what we need to put the buggies. It is diesel and can save us on the petrol as the fuel prices are going up so much.
We wanted a seven-seater or a people carrier. In the end, we chose the Estate because it suits us just nice, and I just cannot think of why we would want a seven-seater as we are only a family of four, and the only passengers will be our two little ones.
As our circumstances have changed, I would really miss driving a fast sports car. Perhaps, when the kids grow up, I can choose to drive a sports car again, but I am sure I will be quite old then, and would probably drive at 30mph!!

What a god send!!!

Jinc is very mobile these days. He is attempting to climb up the staircase but we used his buggy to block it. He would then tried to push the buggy away, he is very strong.
To be better safe than sorry, we decided to fix a safety gate. So I have been looking around on the website and reading reviews. In the end, we bought the Lindam Sure Shut Orto. Lindam is a very reliable brand when it comes to child safety products. It is reasonably priced, easy to fit ( pressure fit) with no drills and screws, which is brilliant for us. It it auto-shut too. It can be easily taken out when we decided to move to another house! Or it can be easily be refitted to another place in the house, eg, the hallway.
Now, we have got this safety gate, and I am sure Jinc is safe to play in the lounge, and he can only go up the staircase with me by his side. This Lindam stair gate is such a good product and I would recommend to anyone who wants to child proof his house.
