36th birthday

Today is my 36th birthday, and because it falls on a Sunday, I feel extremely bless because the husband is not working on 'this' Sunday. He normally works on weekends. So, it is a very special birthday for me!

It is also special as we are going to nanny's house later, and she is having a mini buffet, also her kids are coming home too so we will have lots of people and lots of food, going to be a real celebration!

Yay!

A surprise!

I love surprises, especially on the eve of my birthday, and to make the surprise more pleasant, it came from my husband!

He came home from work and gave me a lovely surprise. He got me a nice birthday present! It was 50 shades trilogy in a very sweet looking paper bag, inside was a lovely pink birthday card, said 'with love for my wonderful wife on your birthday'...!

I am not sure I have the time to read all three books within days or weeks, or could be months. I have never properly read a book since I became a mother... Hope I will be able to read the whole thing by my next birthday!

Very looking forward to reading the first book. Will start doing it when the kids go to bed tonight!

The 2012 Olympics Opening Ceremony

So grateful that we have a TV in the house!

Was watching the Olympics Opening Ceremony from the beginning right through the end! Love all the performances, and the bit that I love most was Daniel Craig as James Bond, the 'Bond' part! Oh yes, and Mr Bean too. It was very unexpected to see Mr Bean appearing in such a formal opening ceremony... It's all British humour, I had a good laugh!

77th Birthday!

Happy Birthday to Granddad Stewart. He is 77!

His birthday was on the 22nd, we had a belated birthday celebration. We made a very special cheese baked lobster for him, and had it in his garden! Was nice and sunny, so we enjoyed a delicious lobster meal with crabmeat and melon salad as starter!

No fancy birthday cake, but we bought him his favourite Profiteroles and sang him a birthday song when we had the dessert!

Simple celebration with those close at heart. When you are 77, nothing seems more important than having good health and enjoy the rest of your life with your loved ones!

My mum's birthday...

Today is my mum's birthday. Unfortunately, she is in the hospital. She has undergone a minor knee surgery, and according to the doctor, she is fit to go home tomorrow.

Not an ideal way to spend her birthday this year, anyway, happy birthday to you, ma! Love you and wish you best of health!

Olympic Torch Relay 2012

The 2012 London Olympic Torch Relay is held from 19th May to 27th of July. Torchbearers will carry the Flame through more than 1000 cities, towns and villages across the UK.

The torch relay arrived in Worcester yesterday, and Sugar's boss, Mr Frankie Tsang was one of the 8000 torchbearers. What a proud moment for him , to have this once-in-a-lifetime experience.

I have also just found out that LeeHom Wang (王力宏)is one of the torchbearers too. He is the only Chinese/Asian star chosen. He will be carrying the flame through Manchester on 23rd June 2012. Click below to see his torchbearer's nomination story:

Now, just cannot wait to see its opening ceremony on 27th of July!

Fantastic Birthday Celebration!

We had a lovely birthday meal last night at a Thai restaurant called the Thai Rama, at Colwall. Food was average, perhaps we have got high expectations. The service was very good, very baby-friendly.

Anyway, a fantastic night with the 'grand parents', and Uncle Kim. A good 1st birthday celebration for Lily-May, her first birthday cake experience!

First shoes experience

Took Lily-May to Clarks to have her very first shoe-fitting. Got her her very first pair of proper walking shoes, although she cannot walk just yet. This is an important milestone for her. I hope she will grow up like most girls do, loving shoes and shares her interest in shoes shopping just like her mommy!

When it comes to shoes, you are spoilt for choice (mommy's quote)!

The shoe-fitter measuring Lily-May's foot

Which one?

Looking stylish in her new shoes

We received the keepsake photo of Lily-May in her first shoes, a fit check reminder card, a first shoes book and a height chart. All will go into Lily-May's treasure box!

Later, we went to M&S and got her a cute little cardigan and a dress for her birthday too!

Will be going to have a birthday meal with Lily-May's English nan and grand dad at a Thai restaurant later this evening. We have got the birthday cake ready, and let's just hope the food is good!

Lily May is one today

I just cannot believe how time flies.

It is already one year since I hold my wriggly new born...Lily-May turns one today! Happy birthday to you, my angel. I love you! I just want you to grow up happily and healthily, forever my baby!

A birthday party

Enjoying his juice

It's a birthday party!

It was Jinc's little friend, Ed's 4th birthday yesterday. His mom organised a birthday party and we were invited.

I must say, Helen, Ed's mom was very good in organising games for all the children. I have got to learn from her as I am planning to hold birthday parties when both Jinc and Lily May are a bit older, so that they understand better.

The weather was sunny and lovely too, and after the blowing of candles, all the children went to the garden and played.

We had a fantastic time! For Jinc, it was full of fun games with other children, presents and party snacks. Lily-May was equally happy at the party. For me, of course, the good company of other moms and also great time with all the other children!

It was our very first time to a birthday party, and looking forward to attending more children parties in the future!

Jinc's first quad bike, a gift from Uncle Kim

Bits n' bobs

What a lovely ride, complete with safety gears!

Jinc's favourite uncle, Uncle Kim bought Jinc a quad bike for Christmas!

It is a red battery powered quad bike. Jinc is delighted and he just cannot wait to ride it. He did help Uncle Kim to set up the quad bike. It took them about half an hour to set it all up. Uncle Kim made sure the battery was fully charged a night before, so that Jinc could ride on it on the day that he brought the quad bike to our house.

Big thank you to Uncle Kim!

Want some Christmas pudding?

I am having this festive mood, so happy!

Sugar will have three days off for Christmas, not a lot, but we are looking forward to it.

We will be over to nanny's on Christmas day, so, lots of food, wine and presents!

Christmassy

Christmas is only a few days away...

We bought more things for Christmas, it is online Christmas shopping, hassle free! Hope all the items will arrive on the 24th!

Sugar bought a pair of Tateossian cufflink for himself. This is his second gift to himself, he bought an EA scarf from House of Fraser last week. He bought a Mango winter jacket for me, it is a blue belted coat with hood. I saw this in House of Fraser but they had nothing in my size, so he got it online for me. He also bought a Dorma duvet cover set for our bed.

As for the kids, we got Lily-May a Recaro carseat in girly pink. Lily-May has moved a size up and cannot fit in her infant car seat anymore... we bought Jinc a transporter set (toy), and it comes with eight little cars as well.

Can't wait until Christmas!!

All ready for Christmas, this year, we are going to spend our Christmas Day at nanny's, just like last year's. She is our English family, and I just can't wait to see them all.

A wedding dinner..

It's Andy and Joyce's wedding. Good friends, good old times, and we went to Ibiza together in 2009. Husband and wife now, what a lovely couple. So happy for the them and hope they become parents soon!!

Took Jinc along to attend the wedding dinner at one of the Chinese restaurants in Birmingham. It was a lovely evening and Jinc enjoyed looking at the beautiful bride. He was very well behaved, he ate his food with good table manners, he said hello to all the uncles and aunties and waved goodbyes to them, he even kissed all of them good bye without even feeling shy. What a friendly toddler he is! Well done, my boy!

Food was only ok and I kinda expected that, but that was not the focus on the evening. It was the opportunity to see the beautiful bride in her ever-so-lovely wedding gown and the handsome looking bridegroom who just cant take his eyes off his beautiful bride that counts...

Lilymay stayed with nanny on that evening and when we returned to pick her up, she was already fast asleep. What a darling!

It's my birthday!

No celebrations.

All I want is to have two hours of uninterrupted nap in the afternoon. Impossible, who will help me to look after my babies? Completely impossible at night too, because Lilymay will wake for her feed in the middle of the night. But it is alright, she only wakes twice at night, which is quite OK for me.

Well, I am 35 this year!

No presents. Sugar bought me a Rolex. The Rolex is more of a 'push present'( more about the push present in other post later). So, he said no birthday present for this year. I do not mind, as I have lots of love from him and the babies!

Life is good, can't ask for more!
