Sun Fun Sun

It's warm and sunny, we are eating ice creams and ice lollies!

We go out and play in the garden for a bit, but, this year, I am suffering from hay fever. It's killing me! I can sneeze for 20 times in a roll, very itchy and watery eyes, and Jinc thinks I have been crying!

Not fun at all! Taking the hay fever tablets won't help much. Some days, it helps, but some days, it has no effects on me. I used to feel so sorry for Sugar when his hay fever symptoms showed up. I can absolutely feel how bad it is for myself now!

An obssession with cars

Jinc loves cars very much, and he plays with his toy cars every day and never gets bored! I guess it is a boy thing, loving cars!

Sunny Sunday, like!

FInally, I can hang my washing outside

Ah, sunshine!

I love to hang my washing outside. We have a tumble dryer at home, and it is such a great help during the cold weather seasons. Been using it so much, but as much as I would prefer, I would always love to hang my washing outside.

Today, it is my very first time in 2012 that I could hang my washing on the washing line in our garden.

Hope to have more days like this...

Me Time!

It's 10pm, totally exhausted when my two babies have finally gone to bed!

Now, some time to myself, whether to do some reading, browsing the net or tidying up our dining-cum-study table, it is ever so precious. Hard to get quiet time like this when I have two demanding young children.

I guess it is time for me to sort out those pictures taken during our five weeks holiday in Malaysia. We took close to 3000 pictures during our five weeks stay in Malaysia, including those from my Iphone.

Love taking pictures, and sharing pictures. We used to print out photos and keep it in a photo album. With digital age now, photo taking has become so common and unlimited. I wonder how many people do actually print out photos to keep in an album. I do, honestly. I will choose those photos that speak and print them out to be kept in my ever so precious photo albums!

Here is a pic, mom and I, taken some 34 years ago, in the seventies! Glad that it is a coloured photo. I think I look so much like my mom, and Lily-May looks so much like me too! Wonder whether Lily-May will have a daughter who looks alike her in the future?

Happy Mother's Day, to you, my mom! and to self too!

More rain...

Sneaked out to town to get some jogger pants for myself while Sugar looked after the two little ones. Parked at the river side car park as it was the nearest to the high street. I only had one hour so I got to be clever with my time.

Saw that the high water level at the river, due to a lot of rain for the whole week. We used to walk along the river side, admiring the swans and the good weather. Now, it is flooded, literally. But I could see the swans were enjoying themselves!

Oh, I also love sneaking out for a quick shopping all by myself!

A chilly Saturday

The weather is still cold and wet. We have not been going out much, as both little ones have colds and coughs.. Dreadful nights too. Hope they both get well soon, and also hope the sun comes out more often so that we get to play outside more!

Looks like I am having a bad week!

The washing machine in the house decided to stop working, and it is no way for me to do a hand wash!

Can you imagine how bad it is going to be for a house with two young children to survive without a washing machine, and it is winter!

Thank God I have got nanny's help, and we are doing the 'washing-run' on the weekend. Will take the washing to hers and collect it the next day!

Hope the new machine won't take long to arrive!

Still feeling festive....

Christmas is over, but I am still feeling festive! Too much of Christmas puddings, perhaps?

Love festive seasons and celebrations!...and now I am so looking forward to Chinese New Year!! It is another year in a foreign country where most of the people here do not celebrate the Chinese New Year. Does not matter, as we are having our own celebrations and enjoy the differences just because we are in the United Kingdom!

Worcester Woods Country Park

It was our first time to the Worcester Woods Country Park. A friend, Helen suggested that we bring our two kids there, and she could bring her twin buggy so that Lily-May could enjoy the great outdoor in the buggy. Helen is a mom of two too, her son Edward, who is three and Annie who is ten months old enjoy going to the park!

The country park is very close to our home, less than five minutes drive. It is a very baby friendly park. Car park is free. It has a play park for younger children, and another one for older children.

Weather was lovely. We had a great time playing in the park, and had a good walk in the woods. Lily-May was fast asleep in the buggy when we were in the woods. Jinc enjoyed himself too! Later, we went to the cafe for some snacks. There is a little play area in the cafe too.

I simply love baby-friendly park.

Cars 2

We were over at a friend's, and they played the Cars2 DVD. Jinc absolutely loved it, as he is very obsessed with cars. It is a boy thing I guess. He could sit still and watch the whole movie without feeling bored. Now I know how to keep him sit still!

Cars2 DVD is easily available online, if you fancy some Pixar movies!

Three of us have fallen sick...

Awful!
It is the time of the year again... the weather has gone colder, and Jinc, Lily-May and myself, we all have got cold and cough! How dreadful!

Lily-May could not sleep well during the night, and I am having so little sleep in the night. Jinc is still alright but he is so clingy, just because he is not feeling very well!

Hope we all get better soon....

A relaxing Sunday

When you have two under-twos in the house, and no one is helping you with looking after the kids, it can be a dreadful long day...

I have good days and bad days, and today is certainly a good day! Everything is so smooth, it is a breeze and both little ones are having long naps!

I can put my feet up for a while, and read some magazines...

It's Indian Summer!

Wow, the weather is so hot, and it is so good to be out!
It is time for shorts and short sleeves again!
Won't be long until we all wrap up warm when we go out!

Early morning...

Every morning when all of us wake up, it is the start of a busy day. It takes us at least 30minutes to get change and ready to go downstairs for breakfast and morning TV shows!

First, it is myself, the brushing and changing, then it is Jinc's turn, changing his nappy and change to his day clothes, then help brushing his teeth and cleaned his face. Done. It is then Lilymay's turn, nappy change, then change to her daily outfit, clean her face. All this can take me thirty minutes to an hour, depending on babies' moods. If there is no crying and no interruptions, we are all clean and happy to go down for breakfast in half an hour, if not, it can be quite a nightmare!

Phew!

I really miss my child- free days, where I had some lie-ins, then some procrastination before I feel really 'wake-up' for the morning!

A garden party...

Will be going to a garden party at Jinc's nan.. Jinc calls them nanny and granddad. They are our good friends and wanted Jinc as one of their grandsons. Pauline and Stewart are their names, we are friends and now we are so close and like a family. When Jinc was only three weeks old, and as a first time mum, I did not know what to do, Pauline came to see me every other day. She gave me lots of confidence and shared lots of useful parenting tips. She is a very well experienced nan. Sometimes when Sugar and I need some time out, we will take Jinc to nan, and nowadays, we take both Jinc and Lily-May to nan whenever we need time to go out as a couple.

Until today, Pauline and Stewart still come around every week, to spend time with Jinc and Lily-May, and have some casual coffee time at our place. We will go around for Christmas and celebrate birthdays together.

Yes, they are like granny to Jinc, and now Lily-May too. They are both very special persons to us.
